For your hospital room you are going to need a robe, and some nightgowns, again the hospital will provide these if you don't want to take these. Slippers and some sweatpants and a sweatshirt, your makeup and everything you are going to need to get ready, hairdryer curling iron etc. You most likely won't look so hot after you have your baby, and since you will have visitors it's a good idea to bring thes thing. Also if you have a preference on sanitary napkins bring these or else the hospital will have these as well.

For going home you are going to need, an outfit, a nursing bra, if planning to breast feed, or just a bra. Underwear, shoes you get the point. A jacket if it's cold outside. Last but not least a couple bags to bring home flowers and presents

For the babies ride home you are going to need a car seat, an outfit including an undershirt and socks or booties, a couple of heavy baby blankets, one to swaddle baby in and if it's cold outside another one to cover babies head.

Lots of people are getting off their couches are enrolling in Ballroom and Latin American dance classes. Dance is a wonderful way to get active, meet new people and discover a wonderful new hobby. However every week though I see beginners not getting the maximum benefit from their class because they don't have the right clothes and shoes.

Shoes are the single most important item for a dancer. Even keen social dancers make sure they have good comfortable shoes. Ballroom and Latin technique involves you sliding your foot over the floor: you cannot do this with athletic shoes, worse you may wreck you knee forcing your foot. Ideally you should have shoes with suede or leather soles. These shoes can't be worn outside though, you'll destroy the soles. If you don't have leather soled shoes get a smooth sole shoe.

Ladies, most ballroom dance steps have you moving backwards, you can't step backwards with a slip on shoe. You can't dance comfortably in a shoe that does not stay on your foot. That means a sandal with a strap or a court shoe that fits properly.

The other important point with shoes is that Ladies they must have a heel: normally 2 1/2" but 2" if you are more comfortable in it. Flat jazz sneakers or ballet slippers will not help you with ballroom and Latin American: your weight has to be towards the front of your foot and the easiest way to achieve that is with a proper shoe.

Men's shoes are easier - just make sure you wear a dress shoe with a relatively smooth sole and not athletic shoes.

Clothing: again its surprising the number of people who wear tight fitting clothing and think they are going to be comfortable dancing. Wear something comfortable but, particularly if you are paying for private coaching, wear clothing that shows your body's line. The reason that ballet dancers typically wear leotards is because that's what shows their body alignment the best. Ballroom is not quite as dramatic but its still essential to wear something that won't ride up at the shoulder and make you look like you've raised your shoulders even if you haven't. For men this eliminates any regular business or sports jacket: only jackets specifically designed for dancing will sit correctly across your shoulder with your arms up in ballroom hold. Most men avoid the problem by wearing a business shirt for ballroom or T-shirt for Latin American. Men's trousers should again not be too full so that his leg line can be seen.

Ladies clothing has an additional issue: American style ballroom particularly you need to wear a mid-calf length skirt so that you have something to play with! A skirt both enhances the dancers movement and hides the rather ugly bent knees which is the technical secrete behind that movement! Obviously a suitable skirt must allow you to stride out and for the man to get his leg between your' so a tight, straight skirt won't work.

A suitable skirt is traditionally made of Lycra and is either 4-gored cut on cross or designed with additional inserts from below the knee. The skirt is not as full as that used for square dancing or rock and roll. For Latin American the skirt is be shorter (optionally a LOT shorter) and trousers are slightly more common, but basically a nice knee-length or shorter, flippy skirt will show movement and your leg line!

Is it Possible to Train Your Dog?

He was so cute when you brought him home. (Let's get the sexism out of the way right now. When I write "him" or "he" I am referring to either gender.) All he wanted to do was to shower you with love and to be loved in return. Euphoria cascaded all around. He whimpered and cried for the first few nights and you were willing to put up with that. After all, here he was in a new environment and this was part of getting use to his new surroundings.

Very quickly he developed some habits which were bothersome. He barked when the wind rustled in the trees. He barked when someone came near the front door. He barked at other animals, dogs, cats, squirrels; he didn't discriminate. He barked when he heard or saw humans even though he saw the same ones every day. He barked for no good reason.

Then he developed the attack mode. After all humans were meant to be loved and the best way to show love was to pounce on them. So your dog would jump at or up on the humans that entered his territory, at the same time furiously and lovingly wagging his tail at warp speed. What an deluge of love, but past bothersome and annoying especially if his victims got injured and threatened to sue you.

Your favorite slippers all chewed up? I wonder who could have done that. Answer - an untrained dog. But even worse is nipping and biting. This could be a major problem with young children in the house. I won't even get into urinary (and worse) problems though they are probably the most serious for a dog owner. No one wants to have furniture ruined by "accidents." And almost pulling your arm out of its socket by yanking on the leash? Who's the alpha male (or female?) anyway, you or the dog? Does he run headlong into traffic? And the list goes on.

So you consider ways to civilize his behavior. Obedience school is an option, but they tend to be expensive, and it will tie up one of your precious nights. We're not talking rocket science here. You shouldn't have to go to a school to get your dog trained. At the school you may feel you and the dog are being graded. You get enough of that at work, why look for extra aggravation. Are these schools successful? What's their drop-out rate? If your dog flunked out of school and you became labeled as a bad owner could you handle that?

So try a book or books. Get an education about how to get your dog under control. For example, the experts recommend not using treats as rewards. They propose establishing boundaries for your dog which will result in good manners. And maybe most important: YOU must learn to think and act in ways that will get you the behaviors you want. With enough effort on your part I'm sure you can train your dog.

There are disadvantages or limitations of the success of a dress code. If you do not feel a professional a proper suit will not change your attitude. There is no guarantee.
Also you cant push things in a call-center. A call center is already a very demanding environment and some freedom would lower the barrier to accept the job. The client or prospect on the phone cannot see you. So in fact you are free to wear as you please as long as you are able to express respect. I have very sore feet daily and I am always looking for a good slipper. I saw these and thought this might actually work. I was willing to pay the price due to the hope that they wouldn't fail me. I was only able to wear these for two days before they flattened like a pancake. There is no support. They are just like a cheap pair of slippers you could find at your local discount store. Please think before you purchase and look at the sides they are not a clog and only have a little piece of plastic on the bottom, they cannot go outdoors also. I really think this isn't what it looks like it is going to be!

Closets:

Shelves:

How well I remember each of my children's first Christmases. Even when we couldn't afford to take many photographs, pictures are printed on my memory. My nine-month-old daughter on Christmas morning, wore her new nightgown, robe, and slippers I made her and put on her after her bath Christmas Eve. The night outfit was to be one of her gifts for that morning, but she needed to look "pretty" for pictures while she opened her gifts. So, she opened one the night before.

That memory is ours, my husband's and mine, not hers. She couldn't remember how many gifts she received, or if she got any. The tradition, of having the children open a present on Christmas Eve from Daddy, and wearing their new pajamas in order to have nice sleepwear for Christmas morning pictures was born her first Christmas, but not because she started or wanted it.

The first Christmas for our first son gave the family a story to tell and retell, but it wasn't one the children remembered on their own. We planned on traveling to my parents' for Christmas that year. I hadn't been home for Christmas since my senior year in high school. Since my husband's parents had left gifts for the two children, we decided to allow our two-year-old daughter and eight-month-old son open the gifts from that set of grandparents rather than take up space in the car going and coming. Our daughter was thrilled with the baby doll, and our son sat in the middle of the living room pushing the toy pickup going "rrrrr ... rrrr." We learned that boys learn how to make motor noises at an early age.

Christmas morning, our daughter ran to the tree, grabbed up the baby doll like the one left at home except for different clothes. She turned to her daddy and said, "Santa Claus brought my baby doll here for me." However, if we hadn't repeated the story later, she wouldn't have remembered.

The point I'm making is little ones won't remember how many gifts, how expensive, or the experience of their first Christmas. The memories and traditions are the parents' and grandparents'. Those babies old enough to open presents often enjoy the wrappings more than the content. One or two toys are enough to occupy little ones. More than that, they don't know which to play with first.

A baby's first Christmas should be one that both the baby and the parents can enjoy. The parents then can have pleasant memories to share with the child when he or she is old enough to understand.

Are you one of those that has no idea what to do when it comes to putting pictures on paper, creatively? Are you pretty clueless how to get started in scrap-booking? That's okay, so was I, in fact, we all were at some point in life. But as you have probably heard before, you have to start somewhere.

So to begin you need to know the basics of scrap-booking. To get started you will want to have a few things.

1. Paper, you can pick this up anywhere. Walmart has packages of plain colored pages that are pretty cheap. Your local craft store will have a lot, most of which are decorative.

2. Scissors, I suggest you buy a package of 10-15 decorative scissors. You can get these for around $20-25. If you can't afford that then try to buy at least 1-2 scissors, which are about $3-5 a piece.

3. Basic decor, you don't need much for decorations if you can't afford it because you can use a lot of things that are already lying around the house. If you can afford it I would suggest getting a few different colors of silk, some string, stickers, markers, smaller pieces of paper to frame your pictures, pipe cleaners, eyes, and then a few stencils including letters. You do not need all of this so choose some things you think you are more likely to use.

Once you have got your stuff gathered together you need to pick out the pictures you would like to showcase on some of the scrapbook pages. Then you will want to find or think of some ideas for scrap-booking these pictures.

For instance you could take a picture of you child smiling, frame it with piece of paper and then put a yellow smiley face in the corner of it. That one is pretty basic, but you can also take one of her doing a ballet solo, frame it with a purple paper and then cover the page in pink silk, doilies, and ballet slippers.

Well, here's a thought.

First off - use your brain. Memorise each one. You're a clever person. You can keep track. And no-one else will ever know what's inside your head. Problem is, it's not going to be the odd one or two. It's going to be more like 100 or 200 hundred.

Every password must be different otherwise as soon as someone manages to work it out once, they can use it time and time again. So all of your passwords MUST be different.

As well as being different from each other, they must also be rather complicated. Your dog's name just will not do - too easy to guess. Neither will your favorite color. Anything that can be found in a dictionary is too easy for the automatic 'harvesters' to discover (the hackers use programs which use a whole dictionary to try and get your password). They do the same with names, so you can't use your favorite Uncle's name either. No, it has to be really complicated.

But you still want to remember it, don't you? Hundreds of 'it's.

Plan B - write them down. In a small address book which will keep them alphabetical. Yes, this will work. But where to keep what I've written down? OK, so it's really no big deal at home where family members can be trusted. But in environments where there is a risk that someone will mis-use your book if they know where to find it, then it must be kept either on your person at all times (even in the shower!) or under lock and key.

I think you will find even your bank wants to be sure your passwords are not written down and easily accessible.

Hmm. Bit of a problem?

Well, no it needn't be.

Perhaps because I've been using it for many years now, and that they gave me a discount when I bought the USB stick version, or just because it's like a pair of old slippers - easy and comfortable.

For whatever reason, I do urge you to give it a try and save the space in your brain for recalling more fascinating information - like naming all the planets in our solar system.
